Spartan is our brand new competition range of climbing holds and volumes shaped by Nikola Petrov – Kai within our HRT by Artist project. All holds are from PU and there are great varieties of crimps, edges and slopers for routesetting in challenging competitions.
Hello everybody, my name is Nicola Petrov and today i’m here to present my new range of climbing holes
and gip volumes spartan which we create together with HRT since six years i’m working like a professional route setter in Germany and doing my work i get a lot of new ideas about shapes. I always had the dream to create my own shapes and to bring something new. Last year i heard about HRT by Artists project where the root setters can put their own ideas into shapes. I have set in a lot of competitions and my spartan rage has a very specific usage for setting in competitions the interesting thing is that all holes and volumes have the same shape of the base which makes it hard for the climbers to recognize the models and to read the routers. At the same time the geometric style of the shapes is simple and clean and the identical bases make the roots look good the most of the holes are hard which is normal for the competition set but there are waters different angles and curves in each set of holes in my next two videos i will present you in a bigger detail the holes in the jp volumes of Spartan.

I’m Nicola, and I’m excited to introduce the Gap Volumes in my Spartan range. Currently, there are 19 pieces grouped into three grips: jugs, edges, and slopers.
All jugs have elegant and comfortable lines. They can be used with one or two hands and are great for dynamic moves. Some are easy to handle, while others are more challenging, making them suitable for coordination borders. The H-shaped volumes, six in total, follow the concept of smaller edges on a larger scale. I always felt the need for big, deep-incut volumes perfect for steep overhangs or side pulls. However, the other sides of the holds are too thin to be used as footholds.
The slopers cover a wide variety of angles, making them excellent for both handholds and footholds. One of the best features of our Gap Volumes is their superb grip, allowing you to really enjoy and challenge yourself. Both edges and slopers are great for blocking with one another.
All volumes have identical outlines and look very attractive when used together on the climbing wall. That’s all from me for now. Next time we meet, I’ll show you real borders with these great shapes and demonstrate how to climb on them.
